Loved - Dusty Attic December challenge

What an amazing inspiration board on Dusty Attic blog, so happy to have some time off to get crafty today.

My boys are older and they seldom take pictures, I love this one of my youngest taken on a cold winter day with a friend and this adorable husky puppy. Just had to craft this picture for this challenge.

Here are a few close-ups of my cluster and embossed chipboards

And now the Dusty Attic moodboard and challenge link: HERE

I was inspired by the colors and although not a Christmas picture, this is a Christmas vacation picture.

Hope you enjoyed my take on this challenge,

Magique pour Cuts2luv & Mixed Media and Art

Christmas is just around the corner and I had fun creating this layout for my friend. I was inspired by the Cuts2luv moodboard as well amd the MixedMedia and Art December challenge.

Here are a few detailed pictures of my layout:

The snowflake die-cut gives a great highlight to the Christmas Flair:

Metallic DEER, gotta love the Deers on Christmas Layouts:

Here is the Mixed Media & Art Moodboard:

From this layout, I was inspired by the Blue, White & Grey colors of the board. I was inspired by the Christmas themed by using my pictures and my snowflake die-cut and finally the DEER, gotta love them. For the background, I used many types of embossing powders and stamping techniques to give details. I used the Blue woodgrain paper influenced by the wooden houses.

Believe and Stamping for More Than Words

It's December already and time for our last challenge of 2018

Here is my layout for the December challenge: Believe & Stamping

The inspiration for BELIEVE is my son Philippe. His persistance in school by doing a french summer class paid off, he proudly was able to graduate High School this year. Philippe is part of the many young adults in the Autism Spectrum Disorder. He believed he could graduate, he worked hard and was able to achieve the scores he needed for the mandatory french exam. We are so proud that he persisted and was able to achieve this goal.

The STAMPING part of the challenge is layers of stamping of words like BELIEVE, Dream on, Never say never, texture stamps on the background and heat embossed stamped flowers.

Here is a closer look at some areas:

This flair was just perfect... translation is: Being different is not a bad thing. Philippe might be different, but he is the most charming and sweet young man around.

I hope you like my take on the challenge, can't wait to see your entry this month.

Future & Stars -November More Than Words challenge

Collect Beautiful Moments, one of my dream destination, Northern Canada to see the Northern Lights.

FUTURE: As you know, I LOVE to travel, it is probably one of my biggest motivation to keep me working, guess I need the money to travel so it's my daily motivation. I have quite a huge bucket list of places to go, but this one is probably the one that I do not know when I will go, but I do dream of going one day, up to Northern Canada to see the Northern Lights. What's stopping me right now you must say... Well it's cold up there. haha.

STARS: When I hear stars, I think of the sky, then it makes me think of this beautiful Northern skyline with the amazing colors that they get. I can't even imagine how beautiful it must be to see this live. Foe the Star part of my challenge, I opted to use some mistable stars from Studio Calico that I had in my stash. I colored them with my Lindy's inks.

I wanted to reproduce on my background, the beautiful colors of the sky, so I played with my stencils and inks to build my background.

As you can see, the stars give a nice contrast or complement this mixed-media background:

Added a few sequins to highlight the brightness of the stars. I also added a big world map chipboard that I covered in white gesso and again gave it a water color effect with the Lindy's inks.

Colors used are: Mad Hatter Mint, Azure Sea Asters, Prima Donna Purple & Witch's Potion Purple

Last touch, this cute night owl with my flower ornaments

So what doe this inspire you to create?

I hope you liked my take on our More Than Words November challenge, and I hope you will be playing along...
